Animal Think Tank UK - Qualitative Research for Psychographic Segmentation (January 2026-present)
I am leading the qualitative research for a project involving psychographic segmentation of UK populations exploring ethical and moral relationships to animals. The project builds on quantitative research (which I assisted on, albeit in a small way) and tries to use focus groups infused with experimental methodology and narrative tools to measure opportunities for engagement with each segment. It’s pretty wild considering it has therefore become possible to understand surprisingly accurately the extent of involvement we can expect from a certain type of person - across race, class, gender and other demographic markers because what we’re measuring is the psychological profile of the person. This has been a superb project to be part of, especially within the animal freedom movement.
Using Storytelling as a Qualitative Research Method to explore Sociotechnical Futures (April-August 2025)
As part of my dissertation at the LSE, I investigated how cultural imaginaries shaped AI ethics in particular and technology in general using speculative storytelling as a method. For this project, I interviewed both experts and non-experts engaging them in a participatory methodology that encouraged them to imagine a future centering AI and technology in its current pace. I conducted about 11 interviews including one focus group. I built a custom HTML/JSS/JS front-end interface to gamify participant interviews and used a JSON-based API backend to log user choices in real time.

Project on food, materiality and identity (October 2024-January 2025)
I designed and conducted a qualitative research project exploring South Asian relationships with food, memory and material culture. The project involved semi-structured interviews and participant observation incorporating sensory ethnographic methods. As part of this, I developed an auto-ethnographic component, critically reflecting on my own subjectivity and positionality in the context of the project. I then presented key findings in a research report for the LSE.

Essay on queering and cripping barthesian mythologies through wrestling entertainment
In this essay, I use the iconic 2011 WWE storyline between CM Punk and John Cena to subvert traditional Barthesian mythologies through the work of Butler, McRuer, Halberstam and Kafer. I then use the speculative fictions of Sonnie’s Edge and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners to imagine what fighting bodies might look like in a queercrip future: trans, disabled, monstrous, affective. I also explore the potential for such a shift, mainly through affect theory (Massumi).

CGEI - Project on climate change and women farmers (September 2023 to February 2024)
I interned a few months at the Centre for Gender and Environment India (CGEI). I was involved in editing and contributing to some of the research work they were engaged in. I notably published an article criticising an amendment to forest conservation law in India. The bulk of my work there was in collecting secondary data on government schemes concerning agriculture and climate change, women farmers, or both, as part of a project with the support of the University of Leeds concerning Climate Change and Women Farmers in Uttar Pradesh. My work complemented field work the firm was engaged in.
Gender Studies Committee, Christ University (2021-2023)
As convenor of my university’s Gender Studies Committee in 2023, as well as having been a core committee member two years prior, I gained organisational experience working with government bodies, drafting proposals, conducting events, seminars, etc. I was also the founding editor of the committee’s official newsletter, FLUID, and was involved in the publication of two subsequent issues.
BananaIP Counsels (June-July 2022)
i was hired as a legal intern. in terms of legal work in the intellectual property framework, i was involved in conducting patent background research on products, drafting trademark documentation, background searches on prior art and prior use, and a bunch of other stuff. most notably, i worked on a response to a Proposed Draft Amendment to IT Rules which the Indian government was seeking suggestions for at the time. here’s a link to what we came up with. i also independently sent in my own suggested amendments.
